Measles ropes in four more in the great majority

Four children of a family died of measles in Ferozewala on Wednesday.
Contrary to tall government’s claims, there is no let up in measles-caused deaths in the Punjab.
According to reports, four children, all from one family, succumbed to the disease at a hospital in Ferozewala today. Another girl is said to be battling for life despite getting anti-measles vaccination.
LHC IN ACTION: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday sought a report over the steps being taken by the government to control the measles epidemic across the province. The record of the last three years has been summoned on June 12.
During the hearing of the measles death case, Justice Khalid Mahmood remarked that the spread of the disease despite the vaccination drive was a great cause of concern. The detailed report was summoned from the Health Department on a petition seeking action over the government’s failure to control measles outbreak. The petitioner stated that the Health Department had completely failed to curb the epidemic.
