Bodies of lawyer, sons to be sent to Chakwal

Funeral prayer for the deceased advocate of Sindh High Court (SHC) and his two children, who were shot down yesterday, was offered yesterday, while bodies of the deceased will be dispatched to their ancestral area, Chakwal.
According to details, the SHC’s senior lawyer and his two teenage sons were killed in an early morning attack in the metropolis.
On the day of the incident, Advocate Kausar Saqlain left home in his car to drop his two sons to their school, when armed attackers ambushed his vehicle on Maripur Road at around 8:30.
The attackers fired multiple shots on the vehicle and managed to flee, killing 14-year-old Aon Abbas and 12-year-old Owais Abbas, on the spot while Saqlain was critically injured.
The lawyer had received several bullets in his head and chest. Police and rescue teams shifted him to the hospital but he was pronounced dead upon his arrival at the hospital.
The elder brother was a student of class nine and the younger was in class seven. Sindh Madrasatul Islam Principal Nighat Fatima said the two were intelligent students. Meantime, their classmates said they could never forget them.
The funeral prayer of the deceased was offered at MA Jinnah. Later on, the bodies were shifted to Shah Najaf Imambargah, from where they would be dispatched to their ancestral village in Chakwal for burial.
