At least five children who had consumed poisonous food died on Wednesday in Bait Daryai area of Mir Hazar.
According to details, the condition of ten members of a family deteriorated after having consumed poisonous food on Sunday night. They were taken to DHQ hospital in Muzaffargarh where doctors referred them to two hospitals of Multan due to their critical condition. However, two children died in Nishtar Hospital while three died in Children Hospital during treatment.
The deceased were identified as Faraz aged 5, Siraj aged 6, Shahbaz aged 11, Sajid aged 12 and Samia aged 15.
