President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday called the first National Assembly session of the new government on June 1.
The presidential spokesman said that the president had signed a summary forwarded by the caretaker prime minister to convene the assembly session.
The spokesman added that that it would the first session for the newly elected members of the National Assembly.
Media reports on Monday said nomination papers for the speaker and deputy speaker of the National Assembly would also be submitted on June 1.
The speaker and deputy speaker would be elected on June 3 while nomination papers for the post of prime minister would be submitted on June 4.
