TTP spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan said the group would continue to fight against forces that oppose its organisation’s aims.

Earlier on Monday, DSP Khan Bahadar and the other policemen were going to Poran Kotki from Aloch when a bomb went off near their vehicle at Piryanai, some four kilometres from Aloch.

The DSP, his guards Osman and Tauseef, driver Jamial and cook Saeed Anwar, who was from the community police, died and their vehicle was destroyed.

  1. We send our deepest condolences to the victims' family and friends. Thousands of innocent people, including security personnel, have fallen victim to the acts of terror inside Pakistan. This is not the first time these terrorists have claimed responsibility for their criminal actions. It is important for Pakistan to hold these repeat criminals responsible for their actions and not let conspiracy theories overshadow their crimes. Pakistani security forces are working hard to counter the growing threat of terrorism in the country. We have full confidence in their ability to restore peace in the country. We have always emphasized Pakistan's importance in the region, and it remains our desire to see peace prevail throughout the region, especially Pakistan.
