Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday declared null and void the appointment of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Admiral (r) Fasih Bokhari who was appointed last year.

A five-member bench headed by Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jilani in its short order declared that the appointment of Chairman NAB was not made in proper consultations with the then leader of the opposition in the National Assembly which was violation of the constitution. The court has ordered the federal government to appoint new Chairman NAB in line with the constitution.

The petition was filed by former opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan who took the plea that no consultation was made with him regarding appointment of Chairman NAB which was mandatory under the constitution. He had pleaded that the President has no discretionary power to appoint.

  1. The timing of this decision exposes the evil behind this. This bench should be refered to the Judicial Commission when the squint leaves.

  2. Fasih Bukhari himself is a corrupt person, in his tenure corruption had been too much.

  3. Above all, this man is responsible for killing his own employee, I refer to Kamran who was nothing but murdered under this man's wings.

  4. This mark the change of government having an effect, right now judges are towing Nawaz policy!

  5. I will never understand simple decisions like this that take year(s)….
Opposition leader files a petition a year ago that he wasn't consulted…if that is the rule, why does it take the highest court with 'honorable' judges with over a 100 years of experience amongst them a FULL YEAR to come up with a SIMPLE, STRAIGHT-FORWARD decision like that? Should have taken a SECOND!

And the fraud here is this "nullification" thingy…IMMENSE DAMAGE HAS BEEN DONE by NAB Chairman in that year, including — as @corruptJudges mentioned above — the murder of Kamran Faisal (YES, MURDER — observe this picture carefully) which cannot be "nullified" in any way (WHICH BTW THESE VERY JUDGES JUDGED TO BE SUICIDE — WHICH ITSELF MAKES THEM ACCESSORIES TO MURDER)

  6. good riddance….
a creep sullied in mud and greed

we don't need a guy at any level who sides with the crooks and gives them patronage while being in a position of trust to rid us of vermin
bokhari go to hell…and rot there
you should be stripped of rank and any medal/benefit that you received in the course of your disservice

    Alahamdolillah
