The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) outnumbered all other parties in the race for reserved seats in the National Assembly by clinching 35 seats reserved for women and five for non-Muslims.
The ECP on Tuesday published the names of the returned candidates for the seats reserved in the National Assembly and the four provincial assemblies.
Interestingly, according to the ECP’s results, the PPP could not bag even a single National Assembly seat allocated from Punjab.
BISP Chairwoman Farzana Raja, Rukhsana Bangash, Fauzia Habib, former law minister Mehreen Anwar Raja, Yasmin Rehman and Bushra Aitzaz were among the 23 aspiring candidates, whose names were submitted by the party to the ECP, but none of them could win a seat.
Overall, the PPP got seven NA seats, all from Sindh.
According to the list provided by the PML-N to the ECP earlier, the party will submit further names to fill eight seats reserved for women still left vacant in the NA and seven seats reserved for women left vacant in the Punjab Assembly.
PML-N candidates, who were elected on reserved seats for women in the National Assembly from Punjab include, Anusha Rahman, Zaib Jaffar, Tahira Aurangzeb, Parveen Masood Bhatti, Ayesha Raza Farooq, Shaista Pervaiz, Nighat Parveen, Majeeda Wyne, Khalida Mansoor, Asyia Naz Tanoli, Rida Khan, Seema Mohiuddin Jameeli, Shahnaz Saleem Malik, Laila Khan, Arifa Khalid Pervaiz, Surriya Asghar, Shahzadi Umerzadi Tiwana, Maiza Hameed, Farhana Qamar, Shaheen Shafiq, Iffat Liaqat, Shazia Ashfaq Mattu, and Romina Khurshid Alam.
PTI’s Dr Shireen Mizari and Manaz Hasan were elected MNAs from Punjab. The PTI also got four other NA seats from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where Nafessa Inyatullah Khan, Mussarat, Sajida Begum and Aisha Gulalai were declared winners.
The PPP MNAs, who were elected on the Sindh quota were Faryal Talpur, Shagufta Jumani, Nafisa Shah, Shazia Marri, Mahreen Razaque Bhutto, Alizeh Iqbal Haider and Musarat.
The MQM also got three NA seats in Sindh with Kishwer Zehra, Tahira Asif, and Saman Sultana Jaffri being elected.
The PML-N got two NA seats from Sindh, Marvi Memon’s and Tahira Bukhari’s.
According to the ECP, the PML-N won 35 seats reserved for women in the National Assembly, the PPP won seven, the PTI six, the MQM four, JUI-F three, PkMAP one, and the PML-F, the NPP one and the JI won one seat each.
One seat is yet to be decided by a draw between the PPP and the PML-Q as both parties secured two NA seats each from Punjab.
Of the total 10 NA seats reserved for non-Muslims, the PML-N won five, followed by the PTI, PPPP, MQM and JUI-F, all wining one seat each.
Darshan, Bhawan Das, Isphanyar Bhandara, Tariq Christopher Qaiser and Khalil were elected on PML-N tickets while, PPP’s Ramesh Lal, PTI’s Lal Chand, MQM’s Sanjay Perwani, and JUI-F’s Aasiya Nasir were also declared winners. One seat is yet to be decided.
Those elected on Balochistan quota include Kiran Haider, Naseema and Aliya Kamran.
The ECP also published the names of candidates who returned successfully on seats reserved for women and non-Muslims in all four provincial assemblies.
KP Assembly:
Those elected on seats reserved for women in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly were Naseem Hayat, Meher Taj Roghani, Nadia Sher, Aisha Naeem, Maliha Tanveer, Zareen Riaz, Nargis, Nagina Khan, Dina Naz, Bibi Fozia, Naeem Akhtar, Uzma Khan, Najma Shaheen, Aamna Sardar, Ruqia Hina, Sobia Shahid, Rashida Riffat, Anisa Zeb Tahirkheli, Meraj Hamayun Khan, Yasmeen Pir Muhammad Khan, Khatoon Bibi and Nighat Orakzai.
Those elected on seats reserved for minorities in the provincial assembly were Soran Singh, Askar Pervaiz and Fredrick Azeem.
Balochistan Assembly:
The candidates who won seats reserved for women in the Balochistan Assembly were Kiran Haider, Samina Khan, Reheela Hameed Khan Durrani, Fariza, Spozmi Achakzai, Masooma Hayat, Yasmeen Bibi, Shama Ishaq Baloch, Shahida Rauf, Husan Bano and Ruqia Saeed Hashmi.
Minority seats in the provincial assembly were won by Santosh Kumar, William Jan Barkat and Handery Masih.
Punjab Assembly:

Sindh Assembly:
The candidates who won seats reserved for women in the Sindh Assembly were Shugufta Jumani, Shehla Raza, Sharmila Farooqi, Iram Khalid, Nusrat Sultana, Kulsoom Akhtar Chandio, Shehnaz Begum, Rehana Leghari, Shamim Mumtaz, Sajeela Leghari, Rukhsana Parveen, Shaheena, Ghazala Siyal, Rubina Saadat Qaimkhani, Saira Shahliani, Farhat Seemi, Sumeta Afzal Syed, Bilquees Mukhtar, Heer Soho, Aisha Khatoon, Rana Ansar, Naheed Begum, Shazia Jawaid, Irum Azeem Farooque, Naila Munir, Mahtab Rashidi, Nusrat Bano Sehar Abbasi, Soorath and Seema Zia.
Candidates elected to the Sindh Assembly on seats reserved for minorities were Lal Chand Ukrani, Giyanoo Mal, Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Pesu Mal, Khatu Mal Jeewan, Ponjo Bheel, Arif Masih Bhatti, Dewan Chand Chawla and Nand Kumar.

It is always the Economy that drives other areas. The reason behind sudden rise of Arab Spring was economic miseries, when an unemployed vendor set himself on fire.
The Scandinavian countries are peaceful because of economic prosperity, where the State takes care of social welfare of masses. There was no terrorism inside former USSR but it still collapsed because of economic miseries. As Bill Clinton had rightly said, “its economy, stupid”.
As expected, PML-N has clean-swept the elections because of its clear cut stance on economic reforms.
As expected because this fake Gallup Pakistan is also part of this manipulated democracy. When you put pieces together of this jigsaw, only then one can understand how this happened. First plan and agreement of masters abroad with what poodles to install, then they unleash all channels of manipulation, Money, Campaign Management, Media outlets and paid analysts, surveys, all creating perception, ,install interim selected govt, election commission and polling staff! and if that still doesnt get wanted results add age old ballot stuffing and manipulate announcement of results at the eleventh hour!
