In the Benazir Bhutto murder case, a special anti-terrorism court gave 14-day time to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to submit a charge sheet against former president Pervez Musharraf.
Judge Chaudhry Habibur Rehman heard the case. During the hearing, Chaudhry Azhar, special prosecutor for the FIA, requested the court to grant him 14 days to submit a charge sheet. The court granted the request and directed him to present the charge sheet upon the next hearing of the case.
Moreover, Musharraf’s counsel, Barrister Salman Safdar filed an application on behalf of his client for exemption from court attendance.
The court issued a notice to the FIA upon Musharraf’s request and adjourned the hearing until June 11.
