The Islamabad Police on Tuesday arrested nine outlaws including two women from various areas of the city and recovered 4.45 kilogram hashish, weapons, and valuables from their possession, said a police spokesman.
According to details, Golra Police Station Sub Inspector Muhammad Hussain from along with his team arrested two female drug dealers in a raid at Sadaat colony and recovered 4.45 kilogram hashish from them. They have been identified as Sonia Bibi and Shamim Bibi. Further, Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Zafar Iqbal from CIA police arrested four thieves identified as Saleem, Javed, Riaz, Pervez and recovered stolen valuables from their possession.
ASI Muhammad Anwar from Margallah police station arrested five and initiated cases against them under the relevant section and ASI Saleem Raza from Ramna police station arrested two foreign nationals Yousaf Hussain and Muhammad Saeed for not being able to produce any authentic document for their legal stay in the country. Moreover,ASI Shahid Munir from Industrial Area police station arrested Jameel Khawar for being found with beer while ASI Zulfqar Ali from ShehzadTown police recovered one 30-bore pistol from Shoukat Ali and arrested him.
Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.
Islamabad Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Yaseen Farooq appreciated the police’s performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective vigilance in patrolling their respective areas.
