Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Lahore President Samina Khalid Ghurki and Lahore Information Secretary Abid Hussain Siddiqui said on Sunday in a joint statement that the party would play its role in strengthening democracy by supporting the other political parties.
They said that the PPP would continue its reconciliation policy, just as President Asif Ali Zardari had promoted all democratic forces during the last five years.
They said that the PPP’s efforts had led to the successful transfer of power from one democratic government to another, a historic occasion in Pakistan’s history.
