Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Sartaj Aziz said prime minister in-waiting Nawaz Sharif‚ after assuming office‚ will announce a 100-day roadmap to address the energy and economic crises in the country.
Taking part in a radio show, “Pakistan Uncut” on Sunday‚ the veteran PML-N leader said various committees of his party had chalked out the roadmap after two weeks of deliberations.
He said the roadmap would be reflective of the PML-N manifesto‚ including a quick economic revival. He said these included short and long-term electric generation projects and ways to deal with circular debt.
Aziz said a task force is working on the circular debt issue since it has increased to Rs 800 billion. He went on to say the main cause of power load shedding was unjust distribution of gas and a lack of good governance in the past.
He said it would be PML-N’s motto to distribute resources on a judicious basis.
