Pervaiz Elahi pays Gujrat bus fire affected a visit

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhary Parvez Elahi on Sunday visited the parents and relatives of deceased children in Gujrat.

Offering his condolences to the families of a teacher and the school children who died in a wagon fire incident in Mangowal district, he said that no compensation could allay their grief but empathetic words helped in coping with their sorrow. “We are deeply grieved over this tragic incident and have come to share the sorrows of the affected families at the earliest, brushing aside all other engagements,” he added.

The PML-Q leader also offered sympathies to the families of the injured children and prayed for their full recovery.

The parents and relatives lauded the timely assistance provided by Rescue 1122 and thanked Chaudhary Parvez Elahi for starting the service. They said that the 1122 ambulances reached the accident’s venue immediately, thus saving six children’s lives.

The area’s people also thanked him for showing solidarity with them in this time of mourning, in response to which Elahi declared, “You are our brothers and we cannot forget you in any circumstances whatsoever.”

Responding to politics related questions put by the media, Parvez Elahi said that this was not an occasion for politicking and no political questions should be asked.
