Measles claimed another life in the city on Saturday. The epidemic has so far claimed 103 lives in Punjab.
Six-year-old Adeel, a resident of Badami Bagh, had been undergoing measles treatment for a couple of days. As the treatment remained ineffective, he breathed his last yesterday.
The provincial government conducted a measles vaccination drive in the city earlier this month for children between six months and 10 years of age and claimed to have immunised over 2.9 million children. A vaccination campaign will now be launched on June 11 in 11 other high-risk districts.
