118 successful candidates notified by ECP

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Sunday issued the notification of 118 successful candidates of the Sindh Assembly.
Meanwhile, the ECP owning to various reasons withheld the notifications for 12 seats.
In accordance with the notification, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) topped with 67 seats after being joined by two independent candidates.
Meanwhile, it would be able to get 16/29 special seats, while 4/9 reserved seats for minorities could also fall into its lap. According to estimates, the PPP would get a total of 88 seats in the assembly.
On the other hand, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) won 37 seats in the elections. However, the party was expected to get nine seats of women and three minority seats, thus taking the party’s tally to 49 seats.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Functional was likely to get nine seats, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz 4, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf 3 while NPP had won two seats respectively.
