Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) leader Khurshid Shah on Saturday said his party would cooperate with the PML-N government on all issues of national interest.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad ‚ he said the PPP would also cooperate in constitutional amendments if these motivated by democratic spirit and protection of rights of the people and provinces.
He said the country needed peace and his party would extend cooperation in fighting terrorism.
Shah said democracy would be strengthened if the government completed its five-year term.
Earlier, the PPPP nominated Shah as its parliamentary leader in the National Assembly. His nomination was announced at a party meeting in Karachi.
