Gas supply reduced to KESC, loadshedding to increase

The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has reported a massive reduction in gas supply which could lead to increase in loadshedding in the metropolis.
Talking to a private TV channel on Saturday, KESC spokesman alleged that a conspiracy was underway to push the people of the metropolis into darkness.
He said gas supply to the KESC had been reduced by 50 percent which was against the standards set by gas allocation policy.
Responding to a query, SSGC spokesman cited repair works at several gas fields, and added that the gas supply was reduced due to non-payment of dues by the KESC.
