Instruments and other assets worth thousands of rupees were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out in the Measles ward of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Friday.
12 under-treatment children were shifted to the Emergency Ward safely following the incident.
According to a Rescue 1122 spokesman, the fire rescue service reached the spot and controlled the fire.
No loss of life was reported while the cause of the fire was stated to be short circuiting.
