Former Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) director general (DG) Qamaruz Zaman Chaudhry on Thursday said climate change was on the rise due to war on terror.
Talking to a private news channel, Chaudhry said that announcing national climate change policy was an achievement of previous government which would help cope with the issue of global warming faced by Pakistan.
“It affects most of the countries but developing countries including Pakistan are more vulnerable to these changes as we can see significant weather changes in last 10-15 years in all developing countries,” he opined.
The former DG, who also holds the position of vice president of the World Metrological Organisation (WMO), said climate change was taking place after war on terror rapidly.
He said that due to excessive usage of heavy weapons in war on terror, the climate of South Asian region is changing notably.
He said that disaster frequency and intensity was also increasing day by day and the government had established Ministry of Climate Change to cope several issues regarding weather and climate change in the country.
Nothing but insanity comes our of U.N. organizations. Giving them money is the equivalent to flushing it down the toilet – a total waste and a bad smell.

But really it is the millions of Human lives that are flushed down the toilet, when a country like the USA literally burns edible grain crops, and other food. Millions do starve, many of them completely to death, and you say there is no harm, Mr. Kai. You are mistaken in that idea.
Actually is does have a negative side effect…that money could be better used in the war against poverty…not the one being waged by the UN, but the one being waged by all those paying carbon taxes and the other imposts caused by the religious belief in Global Warming/Climate Change and the associated scams…
What a waste the UN is. All they do is scheme how to make money for one another and declare the USA an evil empire. Chaudhry is a highly-competent scientist who has wrongly inferred from Pakistan's recent history of extreme weather, that the events represent climate change affecting Pakistan (a reasonable hypothesis) and thereby verify global man-made climate change (an unreasonable inference).

I find it interesting, beyond the crazy assertion with no factual evidence, how Chaudhry seems to be blaming countries for fighting back, but not the Islamists who started this and continuously bomb and murder.

If "climate change" is due to the war on terror, and the war on terror is a response to terror, then "climate change" is due to those fundamentalist Muslims engaging in terrorist activities.
