Turkey happy with Pakistan’s successful elections: Khoso and Hizlan’s warm meeting

Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (R) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso on Friday said that the success of the elections augured well for Pakistan by ensuring democracy’s continuity while talking to the Turkish Ambassador Mustafa Babur Hizlan. Khoso added that he thanked God for giving him the strength to conduct free, fair and transparent polls.

According to a press release, Hizlan called on Khoso at his residence, congratulating him for effectively managing the general elections.

The Prime Minister said that the next phase of power transfer to the elected representatives would witness the process’ culmination into the country’s historic transition between two democratically elected governments. Hizlan, who was also an election observer said, “These were one of the fairest elections Pakistan has ever had.”

Pakistan and Turkey shared historical, cultural, religious and brotherly ties, said the prime minister, adding, “We are proud of our relations with the great Turkish nation”. Khoso said that Pakistan and Turkey have been cooperating closely at various bilateral and multi-lateral fora. He hoped that the relationship between the two countries would continue to strengthen.
