RDG to monitor Education Dept and health units

The Rawalpindi District Government (RDG) has decided to supervise performance of Education Department and basic health centers through mobile-phone technology.
Android mobile phones and special SIMs will be used on this count. Rawalpindi DCO Rashid Muhammad Langrial has directed District Health Officer Dr Khalid Randhawa to work out and provide data survey in respect of 98 basic health centres, eight rural health centres and seven tehsil headquarters’ hospitals.
Through mobile phone technology, presence of doctors and paramedical staff and availability of medicines will be ensured.
Langrial said 93 android mobile phones were provided to the district government in connection with elections, which would be used to bring improvement in service delivery.
Mobile phone SIMs will also be provided to all headmasters and head teachers to furnish information about attendance of teachers and students.
