Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister-designate and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central General Secretary Pervez Khattak on Friday said the PTI’s stance on drone attacks was very clear but it was for the federal government to devise a future policy to deal with the issue.
Talking to reporters, Khattak said the policy regarding drone attacks was the sole prerogative of the federal government and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would extend complete support to the Centre in this regard.
He said the PTI would strongly protest against drone attacks and if found necessary, a resolution against it would also be passed by the KP Assembly. “Drone strikes are against our country’s sovereignty and international human rights laws,” Khattak said.
