At least 15 traffic wardens were fined due to their absence from duties and another one was awarded censure punishment for violation of rules and regulations.
Chief Traffic Officer Ishtiaq Hussain Shah said that the punishment awarded to the traffic wardens would be entered in the record, which would affect their future upgrading.
Shah added that misbehaviour with the citizens and violation of rules would not be tolerated at any cost and the violators would be punished according to law. Prizes would be distributed among those traffic police officers who performed their duties honestly, he added.
