Terrorist arrested from Manghopir

The city police conducted a targeted search operation in Manghopir and Sultanabad, and recovered a pressure-cooker bomb, suicide jacket and pistol after arresting operative of an outlawed organisation, the local media reported on Thursday.
According to police sources, a tip-off was received regarding presence of terrorists in Sultanabad area of Manghopir. Police cordoned off the pinpointed house, however, the miscreants attacked them with gunfire. Following intense exchange of fire, the police succeeded in arresting a wanted criminal hailing from a banned outfit.
SSP West Asif Aijaz Sheikh said it is yet to be discovered in interrogations as to where the bomb was going to be used; however, a well-organized group is busy with its terrorist activities in the city.
The arrested terrorist Qari Muhammed Ali revealed that he used to regularly receive directives for the killings of personnel of law-enforcement agencies.
The alleged saboteur confessed having killed ASI Maqbool and a Rangers troop Zahir Shah in Ittehad Town.
