As many as 49 Indian fishermen will be released today (Friday) from the Malir Prison and handed over to the Indian authorities at Wagha Border in Lahore on Saturday, said Ansar Burney, Pakistan’s former federal minister for human rights and Chairman of Ansar Burney Trust International.
United Nations former advisor on human rights, Ansar Burney thanked President Asif Ali Zardari, Caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso, future Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the foreign affairs ministry for considering the Ansar Burney Trust’s request purely on humanitarian grounds and issuing the release order of 49 Indian prisoners for sending them back home.
International Ambassador for Peace and Human Rights Burney said all the expenses to send the Indian fishermen to India would be borne by the Ansar Burney Trust.
