The severe heatwave will continue in most parts of the country for the next two to three days.
The Met Office on Wednesday reported that the seasonal low lay over Balochistan and central parts of the country.
The severe heatwave will grip central and southern parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the next 24 hours while the severe heat conditions will continue to prevail in upper and central Sindh and most parts of Balochistan in the next 24 hours.
In Kashmir, dry weather is expected in most parts of Kashmir, however, there are chances of dust-thunderstorm coupled with light rain in isolated areas of Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 24 hours.
Some of the maximum temperatures were recorded in Jacobabad and Nurpur Thal with 49°C and Dadu, Padidan, Shaheed Benazirabad and Moenjodaro where the temperature was recorded at 48°C.
In Islamabad the temperature remained 41°C, Lahore 46°C, Karachi 36°C, Peshawar 42°C, Quetta 35°C, Murree 30°C, Muzaffarabad 41°C, Gilgit 31°C, Faisalabad 46°C and Multan 47°C.
Rainfall recorded in the last 24 hours was 3mm in Gupis and Hunza.
