Students protest over getting intermediate exam papers late

Students protested against the delayed distribution of the intermediate part-11 Physics paper in the examination centres at certain colleges in Rawalpindi.

The exam was distributed one and half an hour late among the candidates at GovernmentDegreeCollegeSatelliteTown and GovernmentCollege for Women Murree road due to the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education’s negligence. Further, no additional time was allowed to the students, which they found extremely unfair.

Students said that they arrived at the exam venue on time and started protesting when the paper was not distributed even after 40 minutes had passed in GovernmentDegreeCollegeSatelliteTown. The staff failed to explain the delay, so the candidates went outside the examination hall and started chanting slogans against the education board.

The students demanded the Punjab government to take notice of this incident and order retakes for the affected students.

Rawalpindi Education Board Spokesman Arsalan Cheema said that no reports about late distribution of exam papers or shortage of papers had been received.
