Deepika Padukone talks about Ranbir Kapoor.
The co-star: Come on, we all know the actor that he is. What I found really amazing is that I’ve never seen him prepare or rehearse; you don’t see any kind of effort. Usually actors get into their zone, for instance, if it is sad scene they don’t want to be disturbed, they listen to music. But Ranbir is the same whether he is doing a happy scene or an emotional one.
The friend: Post break-up, we have probably come closer than we were during our relationship. People don’t understand the level of maturity that both of us have reached. We have immense amount of respect for each other. There has never been any kind of awkwardness. It is actually the people around us who have felt more awkward. The day after we broke up we were friends and were hanging out.
And the friendship after romance:
You need to have complete closure to be able to be normal with each other, so that your past doesn’t keep coming back.
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, produced by Dharma Productions and directed by Ayan Mukerji, releases May 31.
