A low-intensity blast took place in Karachi’s Boat Basin area on Tuesday. There were no casualties in the blast.
According to the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) personnel, explosive device was kept in a pot near the Red Zone that houses key establishments, including the Governor’s House, the Chief Minister’s House and Bilawal House
Moreover, ball bearings were also used in the manufacture of the device but failed to become part of the blast.
Security personnel cordoned off the area as investigations into the explosion went underway.
In related news, police have recovered another 15 mortar shells from a junk shop in Karachi.
