PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Monday underwent a successful trial of the spinal brace custom-made for him by the chief of Hope Rehabilitation Centre, Dr Khalid Niaz Niazi.
The trial was conducted by the medical team of ShaukatKhanumHospital headed by the chief orthopaedic surgeon Dr Ahsan Shamim.
During the trial, the PTI chief was assisted to sit along the bedside for the first time after the injury that he got about two weeks ago.
The spinal brace, made from lightweight thermoplastic material, would help in healing the fractured backbone.
After wearing this support, Khan would gradually be able to start walking tomorrow and would improve fast to take part in normal activities.
