A cop and his girlfriend were found murdered in their house in SITE area of the metropolis, police officials said on Tuesday.
Police said the victims were shot dead and their dead bodies were later burnt by unknown assailants.
Sources said the deceased were killed in their house Tuesday morning in Karachi’s SITE industrial area. The man was identified as Malik Ijaz, reportedly a police officer, and his girl friend as Sanam.
Further, police said that Sanam, who was a married woman, had developed a relationship with ASI Malik Ijaz. Meanwhile Sanam’s husband was missing after this incident.
Police was suspecting the woman’s husband to be the killer and had initiated search operations to locate him.
Motives behind the dual murder could not be ascertained as police were still investigating the incident.
