A man allegedly set his wife on fire on early Monday morning over domestic disputes leaving her critically injured. The police arrested the accused.
According to rescue sources, culprit Muhammad Jamil, resident of Madina Town area of Faisalabad, sprinkled petrol on his wife Ishrat Bibi and set her on fire after an altercation.
The neighbours heard the commotion and rushed her to Allied Hospital Faisalabad. According to hospital sources about 60 percent of her body was burnt.
The police arrested the accused who claimed that his wife attempted to commit suicide and he did not set her on fire.
