The district government on Saturday decided to make an online citizens’ feedback system regarding the city’s sanitation facilities and registered citizen volunteers for monitoring cleanliness arrangements.
According to officials, the district government would provide android mobile phones, to the volunteers so that they could easily lodge sanitation complaints with the authorities for various areas of the city.
The district government has started developing the online system’s software as directed by Rawalpindi District Coordination Officer (DCO) Rashid Mehmoud Langerial. Cantonment Assistant Commissioner Zahid Suhail would supervise the project.
According to the online system’s plan, the complaint would be addressed and the volunteers would be informed within two hours.
The volunteers would also be able to send pictures of poor sanitation arrangements to the district government. The citizen feedback system is not associated with the Solid Waste Management department.
The effort is appreciated. The incumbent is the resident of Hafeez Road, Sir Syed Chowk, Rawalpindi. The Rawalpinid Development Authority/Tehsil Management, RWP started constructing the Nallah on both sides of Hafeez Road, RWP, but even after passing more than a one and half month, the work has not yet been completed. Will appreciate if an appropriate action be initiated for the completion of this development work.
