Former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Friday appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and submitted a written statement over the Rental Power Plant (RPP) case.
According to details, Ashraf appeared before the accountability watchdog and submitted his written reply. He was interrogated for 30 minutes over the NAB’s investigations into 12 power projects in Rawalpindi.
The Supreme Court had declared in March last year that the Rental Power Plant contacts were not transparent and had asked NAB to recover the money from the owners of the projects with interest for the period they had kept it.
Earlier this week, the anti-corruption body summoned former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf to record his statement in the Rs22 billion RPPs scam.
