Prominent lawyer Sheikh Awais, kidnapped on Thursday morning from Lahore with his son, was recovered later in the day when their abductors abandoned them on Sargodha Road by-pass, police said.
According to police sources, DPO Ahsan Yunis constituted a high-level police team to cordon off main roads in order to recover Sheikh Awais, lawyer of Indian spy Sarabjit Singh and his son Shahrukh.
Sources said the abductors, on seeing police blockades, pushed the kidnapped men out of the car and sped off, causing severe injuries to them.
