In a joint operation in Akora Khattak Nowshehra on Thursday, security forces succeeded in recovering four men who were abducted from various parts of the country.
The operation, conducted by the security forces from Nowshehra and Mardan, was conducted to recover Ali Haider Gilani, son of former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani. Ali Haider was abducted in Multan before the May 11 general elections.
Per details, the security forces, along with contingents of the Frontier Constabulary, conducted the operation in Misri Banda in which one militant was killed and another two were arrested.
One of the recovered hostages Abdul Wahab from Bara confirmed that the son of the former prime minister was being held captive along with him.
However, it could not be ascertained whether he was also recovered or not. The Nowshehra district police officer told reporters that efforts for the recovery of Ali Haider were underway.
