The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Thursday the squad and management for the upcoming ICC Global T20 Qualifiers. Ireland will host the qualifiers’ matches. PCB Women Wing Thursday announced 14 women players, 4 reserves and 5 Officials. They will be part of the squad for ICC Global T20 Qualifiers as well as the series against England, Ireland.
Ireland has been chosen to host the 2013 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier, where eight teams will compete for the one remaining spot at the 2014 tournament in Bangladesh.
Reigning champions Australia, hosts Bangladesh, former champions England as well as India, New Zealand, South Africa and the West Indies have already qualified.
Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Canada, Japan and the Netherlands will join Ireland as well as qualifiers from Africa and America for the tournament, which will be held in July and August of 2013.
England vs. Pakistan Series will commence from 24th June – 10th July, 2013. Pakistan will play 2 ODI & twoT20 matches against England. While Pakistan will play one ODI and two T20 matches against Ireland in England.
ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifiers will begin on 23rd July and last till 31 July, 2013 in Ireland.
The National Training Camp for the women team in this regard will take place from 3rd – 23th June, 2013 at Lahore Country Club, Muridke which will be attended by the entire women team i.e. 14 players and 4 reserves.
