The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to take legal action against owners guilty of misusing agriculture farms for business purposes.
The court also directed the authority to restore all 504 farmhouses to agricultural land within 45 days.
The three-member SC bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry resumed the hearing of the case about the agriculture farms misuse in Islamabad.
The SC ordered the CDA to submit the complete allotment record for the farm houses which comprised three categories for the allotments and the history of the legal action taken in this regard.
During the proceedings, CDA’s counsel told the court that they had served notices to all those who were misusing the agriculture farms.
The hearing was adjourned for one month.
