Railway traffic was suspended when the engine of train headed towards the metropolis derailed late Tuesday night near Bandhi station some 45 kilometres from here on Wednesday.
As a result both up and down track remained blocked for some time. The up track of Khyber Mail was stopped at Daur railway station and was allowed to resume its journey in the morning after the engine was re-attached and when the track was repaired. The passengers traveling through Khyber Mail held a demonstration for three hours at Daur station and blocked the track for some time.
