PTI’s Hamid Khan wants re-election in NA-125, NA-122

Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) central leader Hamid Khan on Wednesday called for re-elections in two National Assembly seats of Lahore, NA-125 and NA-122, alleging that massive vote-rigging was carried out in the city.

The PTI has been staging protest sit-in in the city since May 12 against “rigging against PTI” in May 11 general elections.

The sit-in is organised at Lalik Chowk in Defence area where dozens of party workers and supporters have been camping out calling for re-election in NA-122 to NA-125 constituencies.

The participants demand that ECP take notice of stealing of their mandate and order recounting in the constituencies.

PTI says that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidates had influenced election results and turned PTI victory into defeat in collaboration with government’s machinery.

“The PTI has never been aggressive. Maulana Fazl has been in power for a long, he knows very well how the rigging is done,” Hamid Khan said while talking to reporters outside the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) headquarters wherein he submitted complaints about rigging in Lahore.
