Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said Pakistan attached high importance to its relations with China.
Talking to Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Liu Jian, who called on him in Lahore, Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan and China were linked in a relationship of closed friendship.
Both sides discussed avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
The Chinese ambassador congratulated Sharif on winning general elections and hoped that Pakistan-China relations will be strengthened further during his tenure.
