Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahbaz Sharif has said the bitterness of election should now come to an end and all parties should join hands to address the challenges confronting the nation.

He was talking to newsmen in Lahore on Tuesday where several MNAs-elect and MPAs-elect announced to join the PML-N.

Shahbaz said it would be their endeavour to take others along for the sake of the country.

To a question, he said despite the fact that the PML-N and JUI-F could form the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in cooperation with independents and other parties, Nawaz Sharif had already decided that PTI would be given the opportunity to form the provincial government.

He said the government would be formed in Balochistan in collaboration with friendly parties.

The former Punjab CM said the PML-N had already achieved majority in Punjab Assembly‚ it was second largest party in Balochistan and third largest party in KP.

In Sindh‚ as well‚ the PML-N had its MNA and MPAs.

To a question, he said the PML-N was in contact with the JUI-F to take it along in the Centre.

He said the PML-N was also in contact with other parties for the purpose. Shahbaz replied in negative when asked whether the PML-N would demand resignation of President Asif Ali Zardari.

To another question, he said as far as loot and plunder was concerned‚ the law and constitution would take their course. He said there would be accountability for every rupee.

Asked about allegations of rigging in elections‚ he said EU Observer Mission had already declared that 90 percent elections were transparently held and if there was any complaint it was from Karachi.

He also pointed out that Chief Minister of Punjab Najam Sethi too had categorically stated that elections were held in a fair and transparent manner.

Shahbaz said Sethi was a nominee of the PPP and PML-N supported him to convey the message that politicians could sort things out. The chief minister reshuffled the provincial bureaucracy massively.

To a question, he said the new government would strive hard to eliminate load shedding.
