The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday said that the unofficial results of a total of 31 constituencies were still awaited.
According to the data released by the ECP, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has emerged as the leading party with 124 National Assembly seats, followed by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) which took 32 seats; Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has clinched 31 seats, Muttahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) won 17, Jamat-e-Islami (JI) 3 and Awami National Party (ANP) has secured only one seat of the National Assembly.
In Punjab, results of seven constituencies are still awaited out of a total of 297. PML-N has already won absolute majority with 201 seats. PTI remained second with 20 seats.
In Sindh, the results of six constituencies have not been announced. However, PPP has emerged victorious victories by clinching 69 seats, followed by MQM with 18 seats.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), PTI has emerged as a single largest party with 35 seats, JUI-F which took 13 seats.
In Balochistan, PML-N and Pakhtunkhwa Mili Awami Party (PMAP)have emerged as leading parties by winning nine seats each. Results of five constituencies are still awaited.
