The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Tuesday nominated Mahmoodur Rasheed as parliamentary leader in the Punjab Assembly.
Punjab PTI President Ejaz Chaudhry presided over the first meeting of party’s parliamentary board after elections. Newly-elected members also attended the meeting.
It was decided to appoint Rasheed as PTI’s parliamentary leader in Punjab Assembly.
Talking to reporters, Chaudhry called for re-polling in 20 National Assembly and provincial assembly constituencies in Punjab. He demanded that the ECP order re-polling in these constituencies.
To a question, he said people were holding protests across Punjab on their own and the ECP should look into their demands.
Rasheed said that his party would play a role of exemplary opposition in Punjab.
