Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Syed Tahir Shahbaz on Tuesday lauded the participation of citizens, students and traders in the CDA’s “Clean and Green Islamabad” campaign at its launch ceremony in Sector G-7.

The campaign’s participants also joined an awareness walk for the cause. School children displayed posters inscribed with awareness slogans calling for a clean and green Islamabad.  The walk commenced from the CDA office and ended at the G-7 Markaz Police Station.

The chairman directed Environment, Sanitation, Municipal Administration and Engineering officials to resolve the grievances of residents and traders of Sector G-7 as efficiently as possible.

He added that the CDA camp office would be operative for three days a week and that he would personally visit it regularly. He also requested that citizens should maintain regular contact with CDA officials to register complaints so that their issues could be resolved punctually.

The CDA chairman said that the sector-wise “Clean and Green Islamabad” campaign began with Sector I-10, going on to Sector G-10, G-11 and G-9, adding that today he had visited Sector G-7 to inspect the drive’s consistency.
