Altaf promoting foreign agenda, spreading hatred: Punjab Forum

The Punjab Forum on Monday said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain had been working on the agenda of foreign powers to weaken Pakistan through promotion of hatred.
Hussain who was directly involved in hundreds of heinous criminal cases would spare no opportunity to treat people unfairly on linguistic basis, it said.
Those fulfilling the agenda of enemies of Pakistan were exposed and now they cannot misguide the masses anymore, said Punjab Forum President Baig Raj.
Speaking at a meeting, he said the MQM would have known its actual popularity if voters in Karachi had been provided security during the recent elections.
By dubbing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) a Punjabi party, Hussain has insulted voters who supported Nawaz Sharif all across Pakistan, he said.
In reality, the MQM is perturbed over Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) crushing defeat and has resorted to blackmailing even before the PML-N can form a government in the centre.
Baig Raj said Karachi was not owned by followers of Altaf Hussain, and the city belonged to all Pakistanis including Sindhis, Balochs, Punjabis, Pashtoons etc. who outnumbered the Urdu speaking population.
There are a lot of people in Karachi who will never allow the designs of enemies to succeed, he said, adding that a small band led by criminals cannot cloud the opinion of masses by dubbing Nawaz Sharif a representative of Punjab only. Raj further said excluding Karachi from Pakistan is a dream of terrorists that would never materialise. He advised the MQM to get rid of Altaf Hussain if it wanted to become an accepted mainstream political party.
