4 killed in post-election violence

At least four persons were killed in fresh spate of violence on Tuesday while two workers of the Jamiat Islami sustained injuries.
In the area of Marri Purr near Crown Cinema, two dead bodies of a man namely Adnan, 27, and Shoaib, 25 packed in gunny bag were recovered.
Upon receiving information, the police reached the site and shifted the dead bodies to a civil hospital for autopsy. After completing medico-legal formalities the bodies were handed over to their heirs.
Later on, the police claimed that the two deceased residents of Baldia Town were real brothers who were abducted the other day.
However, the deceased family held protest demonstration at Hub River road and northern bypass against the targeted killings and blocked traffic for several hours due to which the traffic system was completely suspended.
In another incident, one more dead body was recovered in the area of Liyari from Abal Chowk while some unknown armed assailants opened indiscriminate fire on two workers of the Jamiat Islami near Pathan Mosque early Tuesday morning and resultantly they sustained severe injuries.
However, they were shifted to a hospital for medical aid where Younis succumbed to injuries. Meanwhile, a 35-year dacoit was killed in an encounter in the area of Gulshan Mumar.
He was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital but could not be identified yet. Two more persons sustained severe injuries in another firing incident at Awami colony.
Police registered separate cases and started thorough investigation.
