Punjab Rangers on Tuesday foiled a smuggling bid and gunned down two smugglers who were trying to enter Pakistan illegally. While one of their accomplices managed to flee from the scene.
According to reports, the smugglers were attempting to smuggle heroin into Pakistan via Wahga border. When the rangers officials’ tried to stop them they put up resistance. After which the officials fired at them, killing two of them. One smuggler managed to escape from the scene.
Meanwhile, the ranger seized weapons and 11 kg of heroin form them.
The Punjab rangers have recovered 99 kg of heroin and around 2,000 bottles of wine during three years.
