Different political parties have started throwing out tentacles for the formation of government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) right after the mist cleared about party positions in the province.
Having emerged as the largest party in the province, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) began liaising with like-minded parties to lead the coalition government in the province. On the other side, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) also looked to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for the government formation.
Falling short of simple majority, PTI underscored that it would prefer sitting in the opposition, but it would not opt for horse trading for the purpose of government formation. However, the party will seek support for the purpose from the parties in sync with the PTI’s manifesto and agenda, according to PTI General Secretary Shaukat Yousufzai,
The JUI-F, seeking to poke hurdles in PTI’s way ahead, is attempting an alliance with the PML-N to drive its way into the corridors of power.
