Majority favour PTI govt in KP

After witnessing the tsunami of change, led by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and defeat of political stalwarts from various parties, the people from a cross segment of the society want the PTI to form a government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“It is for the sake of change that I came out of my house to use my right to franchise and will not accept the old system in the province,” said Shahab, an enthusiastic youngster from Hayatabad.

Holding a PTI flag and wearing party cap, Shahab said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had shown political maturity and opted for change. “Our province is passing through hard times and everyday we witness bloodshed, bear power outages for long hours and the ever-increasing inflation too. Imran Khan has always been our hero and star and we believe that the promises that he has made will bring a positive change in the system,” the youngster said.

Students, businessmen, health practitioners, housewives, people working in non government organisations (NGOs) and other sectors thanked the Almighty for the much-awaited change and hoped that at last peace would prevail in the region that has witnessed turbulent times in the last decade.

Shandana Ali, a student of UniversityModelSchool, equally jubilant and enthusiastic about Khan’s victory, said it was time the country did away with the obsolete system and welcomed the change for the sake of the country.

Likewise, business community also hailed the change, saying they were badly hit by the law and order in the country and particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Salah Muhammad, a shopkeeper in Saddar Bazaar in Cantt area, said traders were subjected to the worst security situation in the province and hoped that the PTI would restore peace.

Breaking traditions of the Pushtuns, Meena, a resident of Shabqadar Charsadda, cast her vote for the first time only for change and the PTI.
