The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) on Sunday announced to extend the date for payment of monthly bills till May 24.
A statement issued by the utility said that the consumers were advised to pay their monthly bills without any surcharge up to May 24.
All banks concerned have already been informed in this regard and the consumers could contact the KWSB Revenue Department in case of any complaints, it said.
Meanwhile, all the offices of the KWSB remained open on May 10 to 12, on the directives of KWSB managing director.
Over 1,200 staff including officials of the Water Board performed duties during election days to facilitate the consumers, the statement further said.
Water Board Managing Director Misbahuddin Fareed along with the officials concerned also visited different areas of the metropolis and directed the staff to ensure judicious distribution of water to all areas.
